Øksfjordjøkelen

The last weekend of August 2010 we traversed a glacier, Øksfjordjøkelen, in Finnmark. It was a marvelous experience. We took the ferry from Øksfjord to Bergsfjord, kayaked into Langfjorden and set up camp at Isdalen. On Saturday we continued up the valley and over the glacier. We set up our tents as soon as we reached bare ground again on the Øksfjord side. On the last day we went down to the fjord again and were picked up by Hurtigruten on the southern side of Tverrfjorden.
